The Cardinal Points were used in maps to orient early explorers (north, east, south and west). These cardinal points are still relevant today, and are key to what our publication is about. Cardinal Point West was founded with one primary focus: to encourage artist discourse among college artists and their greater Los Angeles counterparts. Los Angeles as a cultural hub is constantly creating, experimenting and innovating art in its many different mediums. In an effort to keep up, we at Cardinal Point West feel obligated to explore and discover new artists and offer a sort of digital showcase to share and offer insights into artists’ work whether it be film, photos, music, print or a hybrid combination.
